Table Mountain

On a clear, cool winters morning what’s better to do than be in the mountains? Where a better place to be than on Table Mountain, one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.

This is the first time I’ve hiked up Table Mountain. I realized why it’s one of the natural wonders of our world. We went up with Platteklip Gorge and down via the India Venster route.

Three of us on top of Platteklip Gorge.

In retrospect we were actually surprised of how fun the trails in the mountain really are. I’ll recommend hiking up Table Mountain to everyone and not taking the cable car!

  1. Absolutely fabulous scenery Jacques, 1997! I’m guessing that you may have a GoPro? You make it look like a breeze and there you are descending down Indian Venster a difficult route with the ease of nimble klipspringers. Great action video!

    1. I have a GoPro which I use in nearly all my adventures. We are fortunately still young and able to do the tings we wouldn’t be able to in our old day! Thanks for the comment and support!

      1. Yes, true this tannie is much slower these days preferring the easy Constantia Nek route up the moutain. Good to see your enthusiasm and hope you can have a wider audience with your videos – they are great.
